Evaluation of the thriller task question 7

Question 7: Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the main task?

This shot is used previously to the one shown bellow and has a different aspect ratio due to us cropping it.

Example of the vertical crop we used in our preliminary task to hide the camera which we accidently left in the shot.

Evaluation of thriller task question 6

For this question I used Cacoo which is a website that allows me to create mind maps and flow charts and I thought that a mind map is most suitable for the response to this question.  Link to page

Question 5: How did you address or attract your audience?
In the following video we answered both question 4 & 5 by talking in front of a green screen and editing it over our final piece and we removed the green screen around us by the Chroma key.

The company logo

These 2 logos gave us the inspiration for our final logo.

The Hammer logo gave us the idea of how significant the font is compared to the background so we tried to replicate this in ours.

The Legendary logo gave us the idea of a eerie look and a rustic effect which made us decide a lonely tree and that give us the mysterious and eerie effect and shows what type of thrillers we make.

Thriller Opening Bloopers/Development

When filming the scene of Brad getting brutally murdered by the ice (glass), Max Br the murderer missed brad completely.

This photo shows the mise-en-scene between the victim and the murderer, victim all blue and more lightly coloured and looks quite innocent ,whereas the murderer is in all black with a white mysterious mask to hide the face.

Before I Go To Sleep (Textual analysis)

In this Prezi we did a textual analysis on Before I go to sleep which is about a women who had a serious accident which makes her forget everything after a day and this relates to our thriller piece as the main character in ours suffers with a mental condition. We could use some of the ideas from this film to have the same effect towards our opening as they express the mental condition well in the first 5 minutes of before I go to sleep .
